A Great “Cheat Sheet” To Ease The Woes of Creating Compelling Content

How Do I Do This? …Writing Blog Posts…

creating content

I’ve been charged with the task of coming up with compelling content for our Fat Eyes blog. Admittedly, I charged myself so there’s no one looking over my shoulder or demanding that I perform in a particular way. It’s internal pressure. I’m a reader, so that alone creates pressure to do a good job. I’m aware of the fact (hopeful) that someone, somewhere will read what I’ve written. Or at least that’s the whole idea, right?

There are so many ideas floating around inside (and around) my head, that it’s challenging to distill them into something succinct like an actual, real-life topic that I can follow-through from start to finish. I’m fairly competent when it comes to telling a story, or expressing my personal thoughts, helping our clients with their content, writing clear emails and I’ve written this website. And I’m great at writing lists! Now there’s something to brag about. But I’ve wondered: how do ‘real’ copywriters do it?

It has been dawning on me that ‘real’ writers have a predetermined process, techniques and tools -that are tried and true. They may have learned tricks in school. These days, they may have picked up all the tips they need online. Or maybe they are just plain smarter than I am. Shoot, I hope that’s not it.

At any rate, I came upon a gem today that I want to share. It’s wonderfully concise and entertaining: 22 Ways to Create Compelling Content. It’s written by Danny Iny guest blogging on http://www.copyblogger.com. The infographic was created by the BlueGlass infographic team at http://www.blueglass.com/infographic-marketing-results/. Great artwork! A lot of fun to read and enjoy visually.

I hope you have as much fun with it as I have and that it will be helpful to you as you embark on creating content for your blog.
