Web Design in Our Community, Santa Barbara: Keeping It Local

Fat Eyes Web Design is based in Santa Barbara; this is our community.

local is good

Since founding Fat Eyes in 1998, we’ve had the pleasure of working with amazing local companies of all shapes and sizes. We’ve been privileged, over the years, to make a contribution to our community through the web design & development and graphic design services we offer. We’ve gotten to team up with awesome, highly impactful local non-profits large and small. Of course, we also work with awesome clients all across the country in Maine, DC, NY, and the LA area to name a few locales and they matter greatly to us. But when it comes down to it, Santa Barbara is home and it can be particularly meaningful to work with the folks in our own back yard. Sometimes, there’s no place like home. Right, Dorothy? (she says “yes” in case you can’t hear her)

It’s not just the company, it’s not the organization either, it’s the people

Truly, it’s not only that these entities and what they do is meaningful or spectacular. Which, by the way, what they do is meaningful and often spectacular. I want to make sure to say that. But it’s the people that comprise the companies and non-profits. It’s the people that we’ve joined forces with that drive their missions and create their internal cultures that spread beyond their walls. By signing on with Fat Eyes, they’ve invited us to participate in their world. And in that, conversely, they are participating in ours. They have helped us to garner a varied, rich and even more rewarding work experience than we would have had otherwise. Little did they know that they were giving us more than payment in dollars. (well, maybe they did know) Regardless, when all is said and done, we hope we’ve made a difference by contributing to their world.

Focusing on community has perks

Focusing energies within our own community has advantages both for us and for our clients. For you, our clients, it’s an opportunity to collaborate with a web design company who oftentimes has had personal experience with what you do and is familiar with your mission. And even if we haven’t had that personal experience, we are often aware of your presence here and why what you offer is important and relevant to Santa Barbara.  Either way, we know your community because we’re part of it and your customers because we might literally know them and will likely have ideas on how to better serve them. And barring that, we are always enthusiastic about meeting new faces and learning about what you do here in the Santa Barbara area thereby extending our range. It’s fun.

Win Win. We all want (and let’s face it- need ) to thrive.

We are invested in our town. Shop local. Supporting each other to ensure that we grow and thrive right here, at home, is a goal we all share. We find that being invested in a common interest with our clients towards a thriving and vital Santa Barbara brings a distinctive ‘Rah Rah’ to the table. We have a personal stake in your success. And we are right here. Down the block or up the hill. Face-to-face time is always a benefit in any project. Fat Eyes brings an unparalleled level of personal attention and great customer interaction to all of our projects. By hiring a local company you get to know and trust your web design team in person.

6 Degrees of Separation? I don’t think so.

Santa Barbara is a small town and even though it’s booming, it sometimes seems like it is continually getting smaller. That translates into another perk for our local clients- the seemingly no degree of separation here. There is almost always someone who knows someone who we know in common.

Our clients are often able to hear a good word about Fat Eyes among their friends and colleagues even if that’s not how they found us in the first place. Word of mouth, the grapevine, valued reputations, long-term relationships all come in handy when looking for web design in Santa Barbara. Among the scores of web designers who’s the right team for you? You may want to consider keeping it local.
