Mary and Matthew Haffner are a sophisticated powerhouse attorney duo. Passionate and deeply committed to their work, they founded their boutique litigation firm, Haffner Law Group,  in 1997.

Mary Haffner has worked extensively in Southern California court system on cases regarding health care law, personal injury litigation, contract disputes, appellate practice, and employment law. She is also a law writer and has written on laws and motions, appellate practice and other areas of law and conducted extensive research and written for courts and governmental entities of the state of California.

Her record of achievement and awards is impressive as is her pro-bono work for environmental non-profits. To name just a few of the organizations she serves, she is a Trustee with the Ventura Unified School District, a member of the Ventura Social Services Task Force, and Board Member of the Ventura Education Partnership (VEP).

Matthew Haffner specializes in trial counsel having secured defense verdicts in multiple wrongful death, catastrophic injury and multi-million dollar construction defect jury trials. His specialty is jury selection and multi-media presentation of trial evidence.

The firm has broadened the practice and now he handles both plaintiff and defense litigation, including business disputes, personal injury, employment law, contract law, product liability and construction defect cases.

What We Did & Why

The Haffners came to us as seasoned attorneys with multiple decades of experience but they had never had a website. What prompted them to finally take the jump was that they were looking to foreground a recent shift in their professional focus. Subsequently, their audience for this site would be multi-tiered. They were now handling both plaintiff and defense litigation, business disputes, employment, contract, product liability and construction defect cases.

Our goal was not only to set them apart, highlight their specialties and vast, varied and longtime experience. It was to create a site that offered concise and helpful information that could put potential plaintiff clients at ease and begin to build trust with them. The site also needed to be appropriate for their longstanding insurance company clients and corporate client visitors.

They wanted a fresh design look, something different from the standard legal fare.
