The Foundation

Since 1962, The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara has been impacting the lives of local youth by awarding college, graduate and vocational school education scholarships as well as advising students and families on how to plan for college tuition and expenses and encouraging underserved or overlooked students.

In one year alone their encouragement and support reached the following numbers:

• 2015: 2,942 scholarships totaling $8.7 million.
• 2015: financial aid advising services to more than 45,000 students and families in Santa Barbara County.
• 100% of contributions to support scholarships goes directly to deserving students.

What We Did & Why

The work we did for the Scholarship Foundation was based upon a coherent strategy foregrounding the soul of their organization, their outreach, the students they serve, the opportunities they provide, and the communication of their mission. Primary to this was fundamental information access- for example: scholarships, resources, financial aid assistance, application guidelines and applications. Because 75% of the site visitors are kids, the site must appeal to them but be missing none of the sophistication and maturity that attracts and gives confidence to their donors and to visitors looking for news and events.
